Isabel is a research scientist at Embrapa. She is the inventor of several patents related to the molecular control of secondary cell wall formation in trees. At the GCCRC, Isabel studies the genomes of rupestrian grasslands plants with the goal of identifying genes related to drought and heat tolerance.
