A course on plant biotechnology
“From Gene to Trait” is an in-person intensive five-day course focusing on key plant biotechnology research tools. Participants will explore gene discovery using bioinformatics, transcriptomics, metagenomics, microorganism culture collections, inoculants, gene editing, and receive an introduction to regulatory frameworks and intellectual property.
Since its inception in 2018, the course has trained over 700 participants from nine countries.
The target audience includes graduate students and professionals from agricultural biotechnology companies.In its eighth edition, the course will emphasize artificial intelligence. Throughout the week, participants will attend lectures from experts both from Brazil and abroad. The course concludes with a visit to the GCCRC facilities.
From Gene to Trait course is held in Campinas SP (Brazil). It is free of charge, but there is a selection process to identify the most motivated candidates.
