GCCRC Job Opportunities

The GCCRC is a world class Research Center whose mission is to develop biotechnology assets to face the threat of World Climate Changes by reducing crop losses due to drought and heat stress and improve plant performance in phosphorus deprived soils. GCCRC uses state of the art technologies in a platform called “From Gene to Trait”.

The major GCCRC focus are gene editing and microbiome technologies used to unravel the molecular and physiological key events to allow plants facing abiotic stress.

PhD candidate will perform research in our core platform focusing in one of the following areas: gene discovery, genomics, metagenomics, bioinformatics, microbiome, plant phenotyping, gene editing, plant transformation and molecular breeding. To do so, the PhD candidate will take advantage of working in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary and scientifically stimulating working environment with the opportunity to develop skills, at least in part, in all infrastructure and technologies of the core GCCRC platform. The PhD candidate will have the opportunity to participate in national and international conferences, symposia and courses allowing the candidate to acquire high standard expertise and skills.

We offer a 4-year PhD position, starting from March 2020. Applications should be submitted to GCCRC Jobs.
