Postdoctoral positions are opened in all areas of the GCCRC “From Gene to Trait” platform that includes gene discovery, genomics, metagenomics, bioinformatics, microbiome, plant phenotyping, gene editing, plant transformation and molecular breeding. The GCCRC core platform uses maize as a model system and, for certain investigations, also uses Arabidopsis thaliana. The use of maize as a model plant allows GCCRC team to rapidly evaluate its technologies in field trials. By working with an agronomically important crop will foster collaborative work with industry.
